Piss Pit issue #1

Music and art connect people in various ways, cultivating a unique space and experience that unites people. It creates community and moments that will last in people’s lives, making the music scene important for many. Through the course of the year, I photographed shows and bands I saw in the Chicago hardcore/punk music scene in an attempt to showcase the essence of the moments, communities and spaces that is so creative, passionate and vibrant. Piss pit issue #1 compiles shots from local bands as they are in the moment of performance. It hopes to capture the passion and emotion that cultivates in the scene as music plays. Piss pit issue #1 showcases the passion, creativity and energy exhibited by artists through their craft, hoping to further develop more creativity and connection.
